Disclaimer: I received a free product for my post! These views are my own and were not
at all influenced by the party who gave me this opportunity..

Naturepedic Bedding Review See Under These Sheets. Click the picture to read more.We recently (finally) made the move to get a twin bed for our son. He had still been sleeping in a toddler bed since he’s pretty lightweight and still fit, but the mattress was terrible. He still was having some accidents at night, so when we decided to get a new bed, we wanted to try the Naturepedic Organic Waterproof Mattress Protector to keep the new mattress in good condition.

The Naturepedic Organic Standard Cotton Covered PLA Pillow was also sent to us, so I want to talk about that a little bit too. My boys were both very excited to receive these products, especially the fluffy pillow.

What I Love

Naturepedic products are high-quality and I love that they are certified organic so I can trust that my kids are sleeping safely with them; the pad is vinyl/PVC, Phthalates, and latex free and the pillow has a 100% plant based filling. They are conveniently machine washable and dryable. The mattress protector is even made in the U.S.A which is always a bonus for us.

This organic mattress protector pad comes in waterproof and non-waterproof. Since my son was still having some accidents before he switched over, we chose the waterproof so the new mattress does not get ruined. Since moving onto a much better mattress (and I feel in part thanks to the nature of this mattress pad), he has not been waking up wet for the most part. During the time he was not feeling well recently, he did end up having an accident and the pad really did its job so nothing got onto the mattress.

Click the picture to read the review. On the corners of this pad there are elastic bands so it can slide around the mattress and the pad sits on the top. This idea is awesome because it is very easy to put on and stays on well. The bands actually inspired me to attach elastic bands to my son’s sheets so they stay tucked in at the feet.

Two layers of organic cotton flannel line the top and bottom of the mattress protector and on the center is an ultra-thin waterproof barrier. It features DrySleep technology which prevents liquids from soaking through but still allows the fabric to breathe so it does not get musty and reduces “sweaty backs”, uneven temperatures, and clamminess. My son was always waking up sweaty on his other bed to the point that we could not always distinguish between his sweating and wetting, so this has been a great help to give him comfortable sleep and allow him to wake up dry.

Naturepedic Organic Cotton PLA Standard Pillow. Click the picture to read the review. The pillow’s outer fabric is made with a 300 thread count cotton fabric and it is so soft. The filling is made with a 100% plant based PLA (polylactide) Batting, which is a polyester product derived primarily from corn and potatoes. Even though it is so plush, just like we want it, my son’s head and neck are still very well supported. It is often difficult to find a plush pillow that is both comfortable and supportive.

What I’m Not Huge On

I would say the only thing that I wish could be different is for these items to have some form of a flame retardant. The pillow specifically states that it does not have one. While I understand that this is how it stays organic, as common flame retardants are made with harmful chemicals, I would love for them to research and create a safe, organic alternative.

Overall, these Naturepedic bedding products are comfortable, convenient, and high-quality. I can feel confident that my kids are sleeping safely without inhaling the harmful chemicals.

The Organic Waterproof Mattress Protector Pad comes in sizes twin, full and queen. The Organic Cotton/PLA Pillow can be purchased in toddler, standard low fill, and standard regular fill size.
