There’s nothing better than “Home Tweet Home,” even for birds. This month’s free adult coloring page features birds and birdhouses. Enjoy this birds coloring page for adults and take note of the little details (I’ll give you a close-up view of these further on.).
“Home Tweet Home” Birds Coloring Page
This birds coloring page for adults is a bit more advanced with its fine details on the birds and birdhouses. Look closely at each area of the bird sanctuary for a glimpse into the life of birds.
Growing up, I used to love bird watching, so a scene with funky birdhouses and all the things we love to observe birds doing seemed fitting.
These birds are so much fun to color. I made mine look like bluebirds. You can pay attention to the details and fill those in, or you can use the details as feathered accents and color in with shading. This bird is bringing a twig back to his nest.
Bird baths are so much fun for splashing!
This post is adorned with a village of birdhouses in various shapes and sizes and styles. It is wrapped around with a beautiful band of ivy.
Father bird is checking on Mama bird and his baby birds during dinner time.
The whimsical birdhouse with the crooked top and uneven shingles is my favorite!!
If you look really closely, I’ve hidden my popular coloring page fairies. They look like butterflies until you get a better look.

This month’s birds coloring page, “Home Tweet Home,” was so much fun to create for you and even to color, and I hope you enjoy it just as much! I am planning to finish coloring this page and offer some printable items with the full-color version.
To color this page, I used:
- Prismacolor markers
- Prismacolor Premier colored pencils
- Stabilo Point 88 markers
- Copic markers (from the Jewel Tones and Skin Tones sets)
I achieved the fun bright, layered, bold colors by adding a layer of marker first then blending colored pencil colors on top. The bird, for instance, I started with a teal blue, added a purple color, then topped it off with a bright light blue.
Have you seen my printable 3D fairies?
Do you enjoy bird watching? What type of bird is your favorite?
