Growing up, I used to love ordering Shirley Temple drinks. I’d always ask for loads of cherries. Sometimes I would get three or four. Sometimes they would give me so many that I hardly had any of the actual drink left. I wanted to make a holiday-inspired version that I could share with my kids, so they can have some of these wonderful memories too.
My boys both enjoyed it as a special treat. We don’t usually allow them to have carbonated beverages, but the holidays are one time we make an exception in the name of fun non-alcoholic drinks.

Make our adorable Christmas Wreath Drink Charms to add to your glasses of Cherry Cranberry Cocktail!
You can make this holiday beverage with maraschino cherry juice or grenadine. Grenadine will add a bit more flavor, but using some of the juice from the maraschino cherries will cost you less if you are only making a couple drinks.

Ingredients
- 1/3 part cranberry juice cocktail
- Maraschino cherry juice or grenadine*
- 2/3 part white soda
- Maraschino cherries (to garnish)
- Whole, fresh cranberries (to garnish)
Instructions
- Pour cranberry juice into your "fancy cup" of choice.
- Add the cherry juice or grenadine.
- Top off with white soda (I used 7UP).
- Thread a whole cranberry, then a cherry, then another cranberry into the center of an appetizer toothpick. Place it in the glass of Cherry Cranberry Cocktail to garnish before serving!
Notes
*I use maraschino cherry juice in mine for a lighter, cherry flavor (whereas grenadine is a syrup made of pomegranate juice). Use as much or little as you like. I used about 1/8 cup for my single serving.
