The holiday season is a wonderful time of get-togethers, family, games, laughter, and giving. It can also be exhausting. After a long day of shopping or wrapping paper fights and home-cooked meals, we like to wind down and relax with a warm cup of tea. One deliciously relaxing beverage we love is Vanilla Mint Tea, made warm and cozy with Milo’s Sweet Tea.
We are so excited to partner with Milo’s Tea Company for this sure-to-be-favorite non-alcoholic party drink recipe.
This “MelTEA Warm” tea, as I call it, is the most perfect way to wrap up a day with your loved ones. It is so easy to prepare and have ready by the time celebrations are winding down. Everyone can grab a warm cup of Vanilla Mint Tea and wind down together, laughing over the events of the day, sharing fond memories of Christmases past, and planning for future gatherings.
Milo’s Tea has some incredibly delicious Sweet Tea. Growing up in the North, I appreciate the light sweetness of the No Calorie Milo’s Sweet Tea, but they do have several other delicious options, such as their original sweetened with pure cane sugar, unsweet tea, lemonade, and a lemonade-tea mix.
I found Milo’s at my local Kroger in the refrigerated juice and dairy section but they are available at lots of retailers. Find a store near you by using the store locator. Milo’s Tea is all natural with no artificial preservatives or acids. It is always freshly-brewed with high-quality ingredients.
Living in the South the past several years of my life, sweet tea means fellowship. It is often at the center of events, whether it’s lunch at church, picnics at the park, or parties on the porch. Tea in general is all about parties and get-togethers and Milo’s Tea is the perfect tea for events. They have something to please everyone!
Generally I associate Sweet Tea with an iced drink, but it tastes amazing warmed up too! You will absolutely love this recipe I’m about to share…Vanilla Mint Tea is sure to be your favorite holiday beverage from now on. Mmm…can’t you practically smell those warm and cozy vanilla and mint flavors through your screen?
Vanilla Mint Tea Recipe Non-Alcoholic Party Drink
Ingredients
Making Vanilla Mint Tea really is incredibly easy. All it takes is three ingredients and a slow cooker!
First add the Milo’s Tea to the slow cooker.
Stir in the vanilla extract.
Now stir in the mint leaves. Don’t cut these up small, just leave them whole so you can easily scoop them back out later.
Warm the tea in the slow cooker for 2-3 hours on low or until the tea has reached a temperature and flavor you enjoy. I highly recommend sticking to warm tea rather than hot tea. Hot tea can be so harsh, but warm tea is the best for all the homey holiday feels. PS, it tastes amazing re-heated too!
Once the tea has finished heating, remove and discard the mint leaves. Keep on the “warm” setting until it is ready to serve.
I love the idea of serving the tea in mason jars, but if you choose to do this please keep in mind that the jars can get hot to the touch. These are best when serving the tea lightly warm rather than hot.
Don’t have enough mugs to go around? Have everyone bring a mug along to the event and have a mug contest!
Tea really is the best beverage for the holidays, and warmed Milo’s Tea is so flexible. It tastes great unflavored, just as it is. It tastes completely amazing with this Vanilla Mint Tea too. I plan to try out some other yummy flavor combinations as well…I’m thinking something a little spicier…perhaps some cinnamon and star anise? What are some ideas you have to try?
Guests will enjoy snuggling up on the couch near the tree, around the fire, and among loved ones with a cozy cup of Milo’s Vanilla Mint Tea.
To make things even sweeter, I was excited to hear that Milo’s Tea Company is a certified woman owned business and this small business that was founded by a fellow military family!
Milo’s Tea is based out of Bessemer, Alabama, and was founded by Milo and Bea Carlton. Originally, Milo’s began in 1946 as a restaurant that Milo and Bea opened when Milo returned home from serving in World War II. Their tea became so famous that in 1989 they began selling it in local Birmingham grocery stores. Now it is sold across the country in thousands of stores. Don’t you love stories where small beginnings lead to big success? I know I do.
Even with massive growth in the business, Milo’s continues with the philosophy that taste should never be sacrificed and the customer should be listened to. They use fresh, wholesome, simple ingredients. Their ingredient list is simple and they never use artificial dyes, preservatives, additives, or acids. You really can taste the difference. Milo’s Tea is fresh and refreshing.
