We had guests coming over to play board games and I knew they were going to want a treat. I also wanted to be able to spend time with them, rather than spending the whole time in the kitchen prepping and cleaning. I headed to the freezer looking for something else when I saw Klondike bars in all sorts of flavors. These were perfect! Just like my childhood, I decided to start handing out this simple treat to visiting friends and family. They are delicious, quick, come in a great variety, and I wouldn’t have a ton to clean up.
Growing up, I remember my grandpa always having a stash of Klondike bars in the freezer. Spring, summer, fall, or winter, any time of year, no matter the weather, we would go over there we would enjoy these tasty ice cream treats together. Even now, when we drive back to my home state for Independence Day or Christmas events, Grandpa pulls out the Klondike bars and we all sit around the table and eat them. One of our favorite flavors has always been Heath. But….
