My baby boy loves his Bright Starts baby swing and I do too. It gives him a cozy place to nap while I get things done around the house. When we went on vacation over Christmas I knew he would really be missing that swing but it was far too big to take along on our trip. That’s when we tried out the Comfort & Harmony Cozy Kingdom portable swing!
The Cozy Kingdom portable swing has the comforting swinging motion of the full-size swings yet it is small enough to take along when you are travelling. The swing collapses to fold flat for easy storage; I do wish this could be done one-handed as I cannot set my little man inside to have both hands free while I fold it. I also would like if there was some way to keep the actual seat part folded for storage–I had to hang the headrest over it so it wouldn’t keep falling back out.
The swing seat adjusts to two different ComfortRecline positions–sitting up and reclined flat. It took me a little bit to get the seat to lay flat but it was fairly simple after the first time. The flat position works great for my baby as he can’t sit up by himself quite yet. There are six swinging speeds which I love because it can grow with your baby. When I had my boy in there by himself I used the lower settings so he wouldn’t go too fast but if I put a blanket on him it weighed him down so I just increased the speed so it would swing at a normal tempo! There are also six delightful songs that can be played and you are able to adjust the volume to low or high. The swing can be set to run for specific amounts of time and has an auto shut-off.
This Comfort & Harmony portable baby swing is cute and sturdy. Did you notice that the pattern matches the Comfort & Harmony Safari ‘n Stripes Mombo nursing pillow? The coloring is a little bit different, but I think that pattern is adorable! There is a padded bar that hangs two plush animals over the swing and my son loves to stare at them as he swings back and forth underneath them. There is a padded headrest that can Velcro on but my son did not like it under his head because it propped his head up too much.
The swing was fairly simple to put together and the seat cover is easy to remove for washing. The fabric design is also good for hiding little stains. There were a couple things I did not like about this swing (one of the straps twists and does not fit properly into the slot made for it and the seat sometimes moves out when I am trying to put my son into it because it is lightweight, and the button on the buckle gets stuck so I have to undo each side separately. Overall, however, I love this swing and my son does too. It worked out very well on our vacation and now it is working in our bedroom as it does not take up much space so we can have it folded up until it is needed!

What an adorable swing (and baby!) Swing looks super cozy too 🙂
Thank you! He takes after his daddy 😉 He finds the swing very cozy. It’s his fall-asleep spot.
Nice to have a swing that works for traveling. This would also be a good swing to leave at Grandma’s house.
Yes it is great for bringing along with us everywhere!
I love the idea of a portable swing! This looks like a really good one. Thanks for the review. 🙂
It is! We love how convenient it was on our trip out of state.
I totally wish I had this when my youngest was a newborn! I’m definitely looking into this one when we decide to have another. Great review! Thanks!! 🙂
You should! This is great for visiting family or just to have a swing at home that takes up less space.
