This printable adult coloring page was inspired by a song, inspired by a verse.
That’s our free adult coloring page theme this month.
I decided to make a “City Upon a Hill” adult coloring page with a Bible verse. Sometimes it’s a nice change to do a smaller design, so I did a tiny city standing tall at the top of a rolling hill. It is placed by the water with sunlight shining down on it.
This is a great piece for adding colors that are BOLD and BRIGHT.
For coloring this in, I did one with these markers and these gel pens and one with these pencils. If I color another, I think I will do a combination of all of these so I can highlight some areas more than others.
Notice the frame around the piece. I realized that the print margins would leave the edges of my drawing just running into nothing, so I placed the drawing inside of a frame that has a pattern you can color in for a little extra enjoyment and personalization! Want to make it even more your own? Add some designs in the print margins.
I’m launching a coloring book!
Don’t forget, I am working to launch a unique book soon! Wish me luck–be sure to subscribe for exclusive updates and freebies (maybe even a discount)! PS, I love hearing your feedback on my work! Feel free to contact me or comment below whenever you feel like it!
If you don’t want the Bible verse or you want to write the verse or a quote on there yourself, the download has two pages–one with the verse and one without.
A pop-up window will show; scroll down with the scroll bars or with the page down or down arrow buttons on your keyboard to download.

Here you can see the pages I’ve colored in partially:
This verse coloring page uses markers and gel pens.
This one uses artist colored pencils.
I absolutely love how these turned out. This would be a great piece to print on some cardstock paper and hang in your home. I recommend using a nice matted frame.
