My son loves to watch Sofia the First on Disney Junior and we always have fun singing to the songs on the show. Now Disney came out with this Sofia the First Songs from Enchancia CD that has some of the songs from the show so we can sing and dance all the time around the house and in the car! Some people don’t like when boys are into “girl” shows, but I think shows like Sofia the First are great for both boys and girls. The show teaches things like sharing, getting along with siblings, and being kind to others and the songs on the CD are a fun way to touch on these key points.
The Songs of Enchancia CD has 19 tracks including a bonus track and three bonus karaoke instrumentals. “Sisters and Brothers,” “(You Can Always) Count on Baileywick,” and “The Simple Life” are just some of the tracks. My favorite song from the track is “Good Little Witch” because it teaches kids to make their wrongs right and to forgive others and give them a second chance. My son liked “Sisters and Brothers” and it was adorable hearing him sing along from the back seat of our van. The only song I really am not a huge fan of is “Bigger is Better” because the only words you hear repeated are those in the title, “bigger is better” and even though that is not the point of the song, I feel it is encouraging discontentment (don’t get me wrong, it is a cute song though.) Inside the case there is a paper that has the words to the karaoke songs so you can sing along. There is also a Sofia color page! We are going to have so much fun with this CD!
