“Make Ariel part of your world as she splashes her ways into homes for the very first time in Blu-ray™ Hi-Def with new breathtaking picture and sound restoration.
Disney’s, The Little Mermaid, holds a special place in my heart as my favorite animated film and fairy-tale of all time. I have been awaiting this release for a very long time and was thrilled to have the opportunity to share my thoughts with my readers and even more excited to offer The Little Mermaid Diamond Edition to ONE LUCKY FAN in a giveaway! This means one lucky fan will receive the combo pack with includes the blu-ray, dvd, & a digital copy to play anywhere!
For the last several months I was gearing my little Sopha Jones up for the big event on October 1st! I bought her an adorable plush Ariel from The Disney Store and we have been listening to several tracks from the soundtrack to get her familiar. As soon as I pressed play, I began to be even more excited than I thought. My own childhood memories came flooding back and I reveled in the nostalgia the film brought to be as a young girl and felt blessed to share this moment with Sopha Jones.
For those of you who may not have seen this movie, here is a brief synopsis:
Ariel (voiced by Jodi Benson), is a free-spirited mermaid, who is off on the adventure of a lifetime with her best friend, the adorable Flounder (voiced by Jason Marin), and the reggae-singing Caribbean crab Sebastian (voiced by Samuel E. Wright) at her side. But it will take all of her courage and determination to make her dreams come true—and save her father’s beloved kingdom from the sneaky sea witch Ursula (voiced by Pat Carroll).
Here is the trailer- just to get you excited!
Sophia was especially impressed with Sebastian as the chef chased him around the kitchen, while he realizes he might end up in a boiling pot of water and served for dinner! Of course this doesn’t happen- after all this is a Disney film- but the characters in this film are so memorable and loveable they will capture your heart and give your family laughs and smiles for many years to come.
In addition to the classic film and the amazing music, this edition has some bonus features that will give Disney fans even more insight to The Little Mermaid AND will make you want to save all your pennies for a trip to Disney to see the New Fantasy Land. In a feature entitled, “Part of Her World: Jodi Benson’s Voyage To New Fantasyland,” we see Jodi (the voice of Ariel) revisit Disney with her family to create new magical family moments as they discover the new world inside the Magic Kingdom. Check out a sneak peak here:
The Little Mermaid Diamond Edition can be purchased 3-Disc Blu-ray Combo Pack (Blu-ray 3D + Blu-ray + DVD + Digital Copy + Music Download) at retailers for $49.99 in the U.S. and $56.99 in Canada.”
