These are so easy to make and can be made with as few as 3 ingredients!
AND THEY’RE SO GOOD!!
I wanted to share this quick exclusive recipe with you to share how I made these delicious cookie balls (for my Love Bug Ladybug Cookie Balls)! These are a great dessert to bring to parties and can be made very quickly!
You can find a printable version of the recipe at the bottom.
While you’re at it, check out my other dessert recipes!
Ingredients
- 1 8-oz package of cream cheese, softened
- 1 package of sandwich cookies (about 36 cookies), finely ground
- Melted chocolate
Tools
- Food processor (You will need to finely crush the cookies and a food processor works great for this! I have this Kitchenaid one–it is a bit small, so I’m planning to upgrade to this larger size)
- Wax paper
- Microwavable bowl
- Fork
- Cookie sheet
Directions
1. Make sure the cookies are finely ground. If you have a smaller food processor, do a handful of cookies at a time. I did three sets of 12 in my small one.
2. Soften the cream cheese (I just used my food processor once the crumbs were out) and mix it into the cookie crumbs until a dough forms.
3. Roll the dough into 1-2 inch balls and place them on a wax paper-lined cookie sheet. Refrigerate 20 minutes or freeze for 10 minutes.
4. Once the cookie dough is almost finished chilling, begin melting the chocolate.
5. Remove the balls from the refrigerator and dip them each into the chocolate, scoop chocolate over the tops, and remove them with a fork back onto the wax paper. If you are decorating, decorate them immediately as the chocolate will begin to harden.
6. Return the cookie balls to the refrigerator for at least one hour until the chocolate is completely hardened. No baking necessary! Keep refrigerated until serving.
These can make up to 48 1-inch cookie balls. If you do not want that many, you can cut the recipe in half.
