Breezy Blossom Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients
  • ½ ripe banana, sliced
  • ½ cup strawberries, sliced
  • ½ cup green apples, peeled, cored, and cubed
  • ½ cup pear, peeled, seeds removed, and cubed
  • ¼ cup celery, sliced
  • ¾ cup vanilla lowfat yogurt
  • 1 Tablespoon creamy peanut butter
  • ¾ cup apple juice
Instructions
  1. The night before, clean, peel, and cut up your fruits and vegetables then freeze them in baggies.
  2. The day of, slightly thaw your fruits and vegetables before blending. You can blend all ingredients together, or you can layer them with one variety on top and one on bottom in your glass. I will share the two steps to make layers.
  3. For the first layer, blend the banana, strawberry, ¼ cup of yogurt, and ¼ cup of apple juice in your bender until smooth. Pour into your glass.
  4. For the second layer, blend the apple, pear, celery, peanut butter, ½ cup of yogurt, and ½ cup of apple juice until smooth. Pour this into the glass as well.
  5. Swirl around if you wish, or enjoy the layers separately.
