Simple and tasty twist on a classic pizza calzone.
Ingredients
1 8-oz container crescent roll dough
½ cup pizza sauce
½ cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
⅛ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon dried oregano
½ teaspoon parmesan cheese
toppings (optional and not included in given nutritional data)
Instructions
Roll the dough onto a pan per the directions, carefully separating the triangular shaped pieces.
Spread on the pizza sauce, leaving some space around the edges as well as the tip free of sauce (this way it sticks properly.)
Sprinkle on the mozzarella cheese, again leaving space.
Add the toppings of your choice (I added pepperoni and black olives.)
Roll the crescent rolls up per the package instructions, starting at the wide end and rolling to the small tip. This may get a little messy, so take your time.
Sprinkle garlic salt, oregano, and parmesan over the tops of the pizza-filled crescent rolls.
Bake per the package instructions, until the cheese is melted and the rolls are golden brown.
