PREMAMA Complete Prenatal Vitamins | Review, Giveaway and Recipe

Disclaimer: I received a free product for my post! These views are my own and were not
at all influenced by the party who gave me this opportunity..

Premama Complete Powdered Prenatal Vitamin MixWhile I am not currently pregnant, I am nursing and I believe it is important and beneficial to take prenatal vitamins during this time. Growing a baby (or feeding one) takes a lot of nutrients from you, so prenatal vitamins are a great way to make sure you and your baby are getting all the nutrients needed. My favorite prenatal vitamin brand is PREMAMA.

Most prenatal vitamins are horse pills that kick in that gag reflex, but PREMAMA Complete Prenatal Vitamins are a doctor-recommended over-the-counter powdered vitamin mix! This time, I tried the Orange Flavor.

What I Love

PREMAMA, as I mentioned above, is in a powdered form making it easy for you to mix it into at least 14 oz. of water or even into other cold, non-carbonated beverages or soft foods like pudding! As someone who does not enjoy swallowing a huge pill that tastes like my late hamster’s food, Premama powdered drink mix is an amazing option and it comes in handy individual-serving packets (28 per box) that you can easily stick in your purse, lunch bag, or diaper bag. I usually mix it into a morning shake or smoothie!

You can  take PREMAMA Complete any time during your pregnancy, while nursing, and even when you are trying to conceive! I know some women who have no children or near-future plans for them who take prenatal vitamins like PREMAMA for medical reasons or just to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Premama Complete Prenatal VitaminsI am currently taking PREMAMA while breastfeeding, but I also used it while I was pregnant with my son and I loved it. I did not have any issue with nausea taking this vitamin which contains 30 mg of Vitamin B which may help soothe bouts of nausea. It also contains Ferrochel ferrous bisglycinate chelate which helps in the absorption of iron and is gentle on the stomach relieving iron-related constipation. What a relief!

This vitamin contains 1000mcg of folic acid as well, something that may aid in preventing neural tube defects and is a highly-recommended supplement to take while pregnant. It has a total of 14 vitamins/minerals, Vitamin B12 to help provide energy, Omega-3 DHA, and only 13 calories per serving. It is gluten-free, GMO-free, and vegetarian.

I also really love that this product is made and packaged in the USA! Honestly, USA-made products can be a little difficult to find these days, so when I find them I love supporting them! Only natural flavors are added along with some citric acid, Stevia extract, and trace amounts of milk and soy.

What I’m Not Huge On

I did have a little bit of an issue with the Orange Flavor and that is that I could not tell much of an orange flavor compared to what I had expected. It was a little bit bitter tasting but only when I had concentrated amounts of it. Something I also learned from PREMAMA’s products a year ago is that they recommend you drink up whatever you made with the vitamin mix within 5 minutes for the best flavor; while I cannot find this on the packaging anymore, it is true. If you wait much longer than 10 minutes, you will be fine until you get to the bottom of your drink where you will be met with a concentrated amount of vitamin mix. Drink quickly and stir often!

Overall, in spite of the settling issue, I highly recommend PREMAMA Complete prenatal vitamins! They are healthy for you and your baby, easy to use and easy to swallow, and they help take care of your tummy issues caused by pregnancy. You can find PREMAMA products on Amazon.com.

  1. I wish these were around when I was pregnant! My prenatals were about the size of a twinkie!! I would add these to my yogurt if I was to take them!

  2. I like to take my prenatals with a cup of OJ in the morning anyway – but I love your idea of making it a shake, and it sounds so delish I want to try it even without having the PREMAMA!
