My son LOVES taking baths so I try to make his bath time as educational as possible to make learning fun too! We use a lot of bath toys to accomplish this, our newest addition being the Nuby Octopus Floating Bath Toy!
Now, this toy is for ages 18 months+, but my 3-year-old still enjoys it and still can learn. The Nuby Octopus bath toy improves hand-eye coordination as it requires placing small rings on small octopus arms. My son thinks of it as a game and tries to toss the rings; he is still working on letting go of the rings while they are still in the air.
The purple floating Nuby Octopus comes with three rings in fun shapes and colors that open up for even more teaching opportunities and stimulation. We use this to work on colors, counting, shapes and patterns. We also work on counting the octopus arms and I try to teach my son the correlation between an “octopus” having eight legs and an “octagon” having eight sides. You can also point out how the octopus “floats” and the rings “sink” for even more learning! The Nuby Octopus Floating Bath Toy is also BPA free which is one more reason this product is Arts & Crackers approved!
