Crescent Calzone Recipe

Crescent Calzones Pizza Recipe with Crescent RollsPizza is one of those foods that tends to be a staple in households. There are so many different varieties and ways to personalize them and they always taste delicious. In our home, pizza is definitely heavily requested, but the same thing over and over begins to get boring. I decided to change it up with these Crescent Calzones.

Basically, these are pizzas wrapped in crescent rolls and baked in the oven. They are fun to eat and you can add whatever toppings (or fillings, really) that you like! Crescent Calzones are also a great party dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 8-oz container crescent roll dough
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon parmesan cheese
  • toppings (optional)

Directions

1. Roll the dough onto a pan per the directions, carefully separating the triangular shaped pieces.

Crescent Calzone Pizzas Step 12. Spread on the pizza sauce, leaving some space around the edges as well as the tip free of sauce (this way it sticks properly.)

Crescent Calzone Pizzas Step 23. Sprinkle on the mozzarella cheese, again leaving space.

Crescent Calzone Pizzas Step 34. Add the toppings of your choice (I added pepperoni and black olives.)

Crescent Calzone Pizzas Step 45. Roll the crescent rolls up per the package instructions, starting at the wide end and rolling to the small tip. This may get a little messy, so take your time.

Crescent Calzone Pizzas Step 56. Sprinkle garlic salt, oregano, and parmesan over the tops of the pizza-filled crescent rolls.

Crescent Calzone Pizzas Step 67. Bake per the package instructions, until the cheese is melted and the rolls are golden brown.

8. Serve warm.
